The recent discovery of melamine in products manufactured from Chinese milk powder has understandably led to heightened concern as to the potential presence of melamine in products made using protein-based ingredients. Additionally, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand cited Chinese vegetables sold in Australia allegedly have excessive residue levels of melamine. We have conducted careful due diligence and confirm that the vegetables we manufacture in China do not contain melamine.

Our facilities are under the ISO9001:2000 quality system and operate with tightly controlled procedures and policies; including microbiological testing and HACCP. As with all of our plants, our plant in China is audited internally by Sensient qualified personnel and externally by GMA-SAFE, Siliker Labs, AIB and well-known food companies. Third-party scans by industry recognized laboratories are conducted on all of our products for pesticide residues and heavy metal levels to ensure our products are in regulatory compliance of acceptable levels. We go to great lengths to provide our customers the safest products in the industry. Food safety is never compromised.

For those products we must source, we work closely with our vendors, overseeing each step in the supply chain and have contacted each one and validated that they do not add melamine to their products and that to the best of their knowledge, melamine is not and could not be present in their products.
